Learn from my travel photography experiences
Always plan to shoot during golden hour (the first hour after sunrise and last hour before sunset). The soft, warm light creates magical tones and long shadows that add depth to your images. Some of my best travel photos were taken during these times.
Use the rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing to create compelling compositions. Don't be afraid to break the rules once you understand them. Look for unique perspectives - sometimes getting low to the ground or finding a high vantage point can transform an ordinary scene.
Some of the most memorable travel photos aren't of landmarks but of everyday life. Visit local markets, observe morning routines, and capture authentic moments. Always ask permission when photographing people, and learn how to say "may I take your photo" in the local language.
You don't need all your gear for every outing. Choose lenses based on what you plan to shoot that day. A versatile zoom lens is great for daytime exploration, while a fast prime lens is perfect for low-light situations and portraits.
My special selection with behind-the-scenes stories
Captured during my Greek islands tour, this sunrise photo required waking up at 4 AM and hiking to this vantage point. The soft morning light created perfect conditions.
